Fran McCrodden receives Judo Canada Hero Award

Fran McCrodden is the first recipient of a new award Category as part of the Judo Canada Awards and Recognition Program called the Judo Canada Hero Award.

The Judo Canada Hero Award honours humanitarians from our judo community who make extraordinary contributions and have made a difference in their communities. Fran has been an active member of Judo for over 40 years; she has dedicated much of her personal time in support of Judo in so many ways. In the role of Tournament Director and Draw Master for countless tournaments across Ontario for over 40 years. Fran received a Black Belt and was inducted into the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. Her dedication and support are relentless and demonstrates Kano's fundamentals of "Mutual Welfare and Benefit". She has impacted many athletes, coaches, referees, and volunteers through out her career within our Judo family building memories, respect and appreciation for Judo.
