Canada Winter Games Qualifier

The 2026 Asahi Open on September 26 will serve as Judo Ontario’s primary selection event for the 2027 Canada Winter Games in Quebec City.
The Canada Winter Games features a special U19 division for athletes born from 2009 to 2012, with a minimum rank of green belt. Athletes will compete in Canada Games-specific weight divisions:
Female: -44 kg, -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -63 kg, -70 kg and +70 kg
Male: -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg, -81 kg and +81 kg
Athletes selected for Team Ontario must compete at the Canada Winter Games in the same weight division in which they qualified.
The updated selection criteria include complete eligibility requirements, selection priorities, injury and fight-off provisions, and mandatory team training activities for selected athletes.
