YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

Provincial coaching staff work with U14/U16 athletes to continue to develop their skills and prepare them to transition into more intensive high performance training.

  • Participate 6 Months To 2 Years At Youth Academy Before Transitioning To Judo Canada RTC / Judo Ontario HPP

  • Youth Academy Program

  • Club Trainings

  • Talent Development Camps (JOTDC) 4 x Per Year

  • Provincial / National Tournaments

  • Athlete Testing At JOTDC

  • Provincial Trainings 1 x Per Month

  • Judo Canada NTC Visit (Judo School)

  • Transition From Youth Academy To Judo Canada RTC / Judo Ontario HPP

 REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER

U18/U21 atletes are selected to joing the High Performance Progam which is recognized as one of Judo Canada's Regional Training Centres

Year 1

  • Judo Canada RTC / Judo Ontario HPP 3 x Per Week Plus Club Trainings

  • Talent Development Camps (JOTDC) 4 x Per Year

  • Athlete Testing at JOTDC

  • Targeted U16 Athletes Selected By Judo Ontario HPC Into The OHPSI Program

  • NTC Immersion Camps / Visits 2 x Per Year

Year 2

  • Judo Canada RTC / Judo Ontario HPP 5 x Per Week Plus Club Trainings

  • OHPSI Strength & Conditioning Testing Days 3 x Per Year

 

Year 3

  • Full-time Athlete at Judo Canada RTC / Judo Ontario HPP 8 x Per Week Plus Club Trainings

  • Judo Canada National Training Camps

  • NTC Immersion Camps / Visits

  • Provincial Trainings

  • Open Mat Trainings

NATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE

Year 4

Graduate And Transition As Full-time Athlete to Judo Canada National Training Centre (NTC) In Montreal After Grade 12 (19 Years Old +)

Athletes retain membership with Judo Ontario but train full-time at the NTC with the goal of representing Canada at major championships
