The 2023 Judo Ontario Annual General Meeting will be held on September 24th, please see attached report, notices or visit the AGM section of the website for additional information.
The meeting will be virtual and in-person this year. The meeting is open to the registered membership for the 2023-24 season, but only Blackbelts will be able to vote on agenda items during the meeting. If you plan on attending virtually then we request all blackbelts type BB beside your name to identify that you are a blackbelt and are eligible to vote during the meeting.
To register for the AGM please follow this link to the Trackie registration - https://registration.judocanada.org/event/2023JudoOntarioAGM. You will have the option to choose attending virtually or in person. Virtual meeting information will be sent out by email to those registered for the AGM.
As per previous communication regarding declaration for candidacy for elected office, the deadline of August 15th has now passed and we can share that all vacant positions had only one declared candidate. Therefore, no election will be necessary this year as all positions were acclaimed.
Judo Ontario received declarations to fill the four positions from the following individuals:
1. 1st Vice President – Tony Kelly (Acclaimed)
2. Vice-President Competitions - Chris Brown (Acclaimed)
3. Vice-President Administration - Carline Young (Acclaimed)
4. Vice President Marketing - Greg Butrey (Acclaimed) Congratulations and best wishes are extended to the new and returning Board members.
