This last weekend the Steveston Judo club and Judo BC hosted the 2018 Pacific International. The tournament was held at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC. Judo Ontario athletes had some exceptional results. New this year was a U14 Team tournament and Judo Ontario entered a team. The Judo Ontario mixed team consisting of Cleea Straklevski, Maksim Antsipovitch, David Melkonian, Maximillian Shtchenioff, and Michelle Lopez finished the 6 team tournament in 3rd place. They came up victorious in the first two team matches against Lower Mainlan d #2 and Team Alberta #2 but fell a little short in the Semi-finals against the eventual Gold medalists from Judo BC.
