Declaration of Candidacy for Elected Office

Judo Ontario is actively seeking passionate and skilled leaders from across Ontario to join its volunteer Board of Directors. We are inviting nominations for four positions to be elected at the Judo Ontario Annual General Meeting on September 14, 2025.
The following positions are to be filled for a two-year term from 2025-2027 at the 2025 Judo Ontario Annual General Meeting.
First Vice-President
Vice-President (Administration)
Vice-President (Marketing)
Vice-President (Competitions)
Declaration Process:
The deadline for declaring your candidacy for any position is August 5th, 2025.
You must complete the form on page 2 of this document and submit it by mail, e-mail or fax to the Judo Ontario office.
Mailed declarations must be RECEIVED at Judo Ontario’s office by the end of business on August 5th, 2025, with no exceptions.
Candidates are encouraged to include a one-page, one-sided resume for each position that they are contesting to accompany their declaration for candidacy. Resumes that do not adhere to this limit will NOT be sent out to voters.
If you are submitting a resume, it must be included at the same time as your declaration.
All declarations of candidacy will remain confidential until the publication of the official list of candidates on or before August 5th, 2025.
Requirements:
All directors must be at least 18 years of age at the time of election.
The First Vice-President and Vice-President (Competitions) must be Regular Members of the Corporation
The Vice-President (Administration) and Vice-President (Marketing) may be Regular Members or Associate Members.
