Judo Ontario Youth Academy

The Judo Ontario Youth Academy was created to develop U14 and U16 athletes that are aiming to be High Performance athletes, and consequently are then selected to the Judo Ontario HPP. The Youth Academy will start on September 12 of 2015. The classes will take place on Saturdays from 4 to 6pm at the Judo Ontario/Judo Canada Regional Training Centre. The main goal of the Youth Academy is to follow the LTAD specific training for U14 and U16 athletes in the Learning to train & training to compete age groups, and to facilitate a better transition from the Youth Academy into the HPP. Also the Judo Ontario HPC and Provincial Coach will scout the region for potential exceptionally talented athletes and encourage them to join the Judo Ontario/Judo Canada RTC program.

The Judo Ontario Youth Academy is opened to any U14-U16 athlete orange belt and up competing in provincial and national tournaments and are in good standing with the association.
