Tournament Opportunities – Opportunité de Tournois

Portugal EJU jr cup U21 (H/F)

Bremen U21 & U18 (Homme-Male)

Thuringa U21 & U18 (Femme-Female)



All applications need to have provincial approval. The athletes are required
to be in good standing with their provinces and Judo Canada and all outstanding debts own to
the provinces and Judo Canada are to be clear prior to application.

Selected athletes:

1)  Fully Funded athletes for Bremen/Thuringa & Portugal (C standard & +): Jessica Klimkait, Louis Krieber-Gagnon, Ana Laura Portuondo-Isasi &  Monika Burgess.

2)  Fully Funded for Thuringa U18 (D standard & +): Marie Besson

3)  Partial Funding ($1500) for Bremen/Thuringa & Portugal (D standard): Martin Rygielski & Olivier Gobeil-St-Amand

4)  Partial Funding ($750) for Cadet Bremen/Thuringa (E & F standard): Yumi Bellali, Brette Poliakiwski, Nathalie Rygielski & Shady Elnahas

5)  Self funded List of athletes elligible is attached


Trip information

1) Bremen

Departure: March 18, 2015

Tournament:  March 21-22, 2015

Training Camp: March 23-26, 2015

Return: March 27, 2015


2) Thuringa

Departure: March 18, 2015

Tournament:  March 21, 2015

Training Camp: March 22-25, 2015

Return: March 26, 2015

Approximate cost (with Montreal or Toronto departure): $2500


3) Portugal and Thruinga/Bremen

Departure: March 11, 2015

Tournament : March 14-15, 2015

Training Camp : March 16-18, 2015

Departure for Germany: March 19, 2015


Approximate cost (with Montreal or Toronto departure): $3500


All applications for the above competitions must be completed on line at

https://register.beanstream.com/scripts/registration.asp?form=2075

before January 21st, 2015.

The letter of consent of parents (attached) and a copy of your passport need to be sent to Judo Canada’s High
Performance staff (hp@judocanada.org) before January 21st.

If you do not want Judo Canada buys travel insurance (health), you must send a copy of your insurance to Judo Canada’s High Performance staff (hp@judocanada.org  ) before January 21st (otherwise, Judo Canada will purchase the insurance).  You must make sure your insurance is valid otherwise you will be responsible for charges incurred.


* $1000 deposit is required to confirm your participation for Germany (self funded athletes)
* $1500 deposit is required to confirm your participation for Portugal & Germany (self funded athletes)
