To all Athletes competing at the 2012 Nationals:
This is a reminder of some important information relating to Nationals.  Please read and follow the below with care.
Judo Canada Passport:  The Judo CANADA passport must be presented by each athlete at the National Championships.  If you do not have a JC passport, you must apply for and receive it prior to Nationals.  The application form can be printed from the Judo Canada website:   You must have the JC passport in hand before Nationals.
Team Training:  There is a mandatory Team Training and Meeting on Wednesday, July 4 at the Doubletree by Hilton Airport Hotel (655 Dixon Road, Toronto) at 5pm.  Please arrive early to pick up your accreditation and your Team track suit (if applicable).  The mandatory portion continues to 6pm and members of the Ontario Team who wish to continue working out will have the mat until 7pm.
Accreditation:  The Ontario Team Manager will pick up all accreditations for Team Ontario.  Individual athletes and personal coaches are asked  NOT  to go to accreditation please.  All Ontario accreditations will be available for pick up at the July 4 Team Training and Meeting and also at weigh-in on the morning that the athlete competes.  Athletes will require their accreditation in order to weigh-in and to gain entry to the tournament venue.  Personal Coaches who have submitted their name and certification, by way of their athletes or directly to Judo Ontario, may also pick up their accredication at the July 4 Team Training or at weigh-in.
Balances:  Athletes should have fully paid for their individual Nationals package.  If you have not, please do this immediately.  Athletes who are not fully paid will be withdrawn from Nationals and will be billed a penalty fee.
Hotel rooming:  Athletes staying with the Team at the tournament hotel will receive an individual email with their rooming arrangements.  If you have not confirmed and paid for your hotel stay with the Team, this needs to be done now.  It may not be possible to accommodate late requests.
Weigh-Ins:  It is the responsibility of each shiai athlete to attend weigh-in, unofficial and official.  Unofficial weigh-in opens at 6am each morning.  Official weigh-in starts at 7am.  All Ontario athletes are expected to check their weight during unofficial weigh-in and to be present for official weigh-in prior to 7am.
Coach at matside during Nationals:  If an athlete wants a coach at matside, the athlete must arrange this with his/her personal coach or one of the Provincial Coaches prior to the day of competiton.  Personal coaches must be NCCP certified at "Dojo Instructor" (Level 2) or higher.  The vast majority of athletes have indicated that they will be coached by their Personal Coach. 
Ontario Team Staff:  Provincial Coaches for 2012 Nationals are Mitchell Kawasaki, Bob Zettl and Aartje Sheffield.  The Team Manager is Shu-Tai Cheng.  Additional adult chaperones during Training Camp include Brian Kalsen, Dave Burt, Ken Fukushima and Herman Vermieren.
Nationals Training Camp:  There are more than 75 Ontario athletes registered for the National Training Camp.  If an athlete is a Quest for Gold Recipient or a National Champion interested in qualifying to compete at the Junior World Championships, he or she MUST attend the National Training Camp.
Team Ontario track suit:  Please wear your Team Ontario track suit during Nationals.  On the podium, athletes must wear either a complete Team Ontario track suit or the Team Ontario track jacket with judogi pants.  This is the mandatory attire for all Ontario athletes for medal presentations.
