Judo Ontario Takes Home Six Medals on Day One of the Canada Winter Games
It was a successful day for Team Ontario’s Judo Team on Day 1 of the competition. Judo Ontario judoka finished the day with two gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
Jessica Klimkait basically walked through the -57kg division unchallenged to win the gold medal, while Bradley Langlois won the final vs BC with a spectacular ippon to capture the -73kg gold medal.
Carolina Rincon had a terrific day, winning her preliminary matches by ippon and finished her day with the silver medal in the -48kg division.
Yassin Youssef, Florence Grenapin, and Kira Fusch all secured a bronze medal finish in their respective divisions.
In the -66kg division, Ethan Vandersanden went 1-2 and finished in 7th place.
